Singer Capital Markets is delighted to advise AVI Japan Opportunity Trust Plc on its successful combination with Fidelity Japan Trust Plc, adding approximately £184 million of Fidelity Japan Trust plc net assets to AVI Japan Opportunity Trust plc.
Singer Capital Markets acted as Sole Sponsor and Joint Financial Adviser to AVI Japan Opportunity Trust Plc (the receiving entity) for its s110 combination with Fidelity Japan Trust plc.
This deal was overwhelmingly endorsed by both Fidelity Japan Trust and AVI Japan Opportunity Trust shareholders, with 68% of Fidelity Japan Trust shareholders electing to rollover their interests into AVI Japan Opportunity Trust in conjunction with an undersubscribed cash exit alternative, reflecting the compelling opportunity on offer from AVI Japan Opportunity Trust’s strategy and Japan’s smaller company market.
