Supporting Hipgnosis Songs Fund from IPO to becoming a FTSE 250 Company

Singer Capital Markets acted as Financial Adviser and Sole Broker to Hipgnosis Songs Fund on their IPO to the Specialist Fund Segment of the Main Market raising £200 million on admission in July 2018.

Since their IPO, Singer Capital Markets have supported Hipgnosis in raising c.£1.3 billion, and they are a now a FTSE 250 Company with a market capitalisation of over £1 billion.

About Hipgnosis Songs Fund Limited

Hipgnosis, which was founded by Merck Mercuriadis, is a Guernsey registered investment company established to offer investors a pure-play exposure to songs and associated musical intellectual property rights.

The Company has raised c.£1.3 billion (gross equity capital) through its Initial Public Offering on 11 July 2018, and subsequent issues in April 2019, August 2019, October 2019, July 2020, September 2020, February 2021 and July 2021.

After a failed IPO with a competitor, Singer Capital Markets act as Financial Adviser & Broker and successfully floated Hipgnosis on the London Stock Exchange with an oversubscribed fundraise on admission of £200 million

Alongside JP Morgan as Joint Broker, Singer successfully raised £236 million in June 2020 – Hipgnosis’ biggest equity raise yet, and have completed a total of 7 equity raises since IPO

During the Covid-19 pandemic, Singer Capital Markets supported Hipgnosis in raising £420 million in just 2 months

Hipgnosis announced in August 2020 that they had entered the FTSE 250 Index with a market capitalisation of over £1 billion.
