Hayes and Bright Trade Tips in the City

Earlier this week, Singer Capital Markets were delighted to welcome Chelsea Women’s Manager, Emma Hayes, and Chelsea Women’s longest-serving player and Captain, Millie Bright, to our office in the City of London.

Emma and Millie were greeted by Singer Capital Markets’ Head of Marketing, Joanna Osborne, and the Founder and Chair, Tim Cockroft, before having a lesson on trading with the firm’s Head of Trading, Gareth Henderson (who even managed to get Emma to answer a live trading call!).

Following this, Emma and Millie then gave a company-wide address, which included a Q&A session with all staff. Emma and Millie covered a range of topics from leadership styles and management techniques, as well as data analysis and the importance of mindset.

Commenting on their visit, Tim Cockroft, Founder & Chair of Singer Capital Markets, said:

“We were delighted to welcome Emma Hayes and Millie Bright to the Singer office in the City of London earlier this week. They are two of the highest achieving women in football and our staff had the pleasure of hearing from on a range of thought-provoking topics, from key leadership styles, important management practices and how they succeed as a team. As the official partner of the Women’s team since 2021, we continue to support Emma, Millie and the rest of the Chelsea FCW team throughout the remainder of the season and look forward to seeing them in action in 2024.”

Zahra Al-Kudcy, Chelsea FC Women’s Commercial Director, said:

“Singer Capital Markets continues to be wonderful supporters of the women’s team and it was great to see them discuss the parallels of working in high-pressured environments, both on the pitch and on the trading floor, with Emma and Millie.”
