From Friday 15th June, our Newcastle office will be walking the length of Hadrian’s Wall as a tribute to a close friend and colleague of Singer Capital Markets, Laura Johnson, who tragically lost her battle with cancer late last year.
The route will begin at Bowness on Solway in the West, and will cover 85 miles, finishing at the Segedunum Roman fort in Wallsend in the East. The team will be hoping to complete the trek in 3 and a half days (legs and feet permitting!). Along the way, the team will be staying in a farmhouse in Walton, a youth hostel in Once Brewed and a pub in Wylam, before tackling the home straight on the Monday morning.
All of the money raised will be donated to Macmillan, one of the charities that helped Laura and her family. With less than two weeks to go, the team are so close to reaching their £5,000 target.
If you would like to make a donation, please do this via the Just Giving page here.
Thank you to everyone who has donated so far. All contributions are greatly appreciated and we wish the team every success in this exciting challenge!
