AVI Japan Opportunity Trust (“AVI”) has today (13/05/2019) announced that it has raised gross proceeds of £13.0 million via a Placing under its Share Issuance Programme.
The Company undertook the Placing to satisfy demand for new shares and to provide additional funding for investment opportunities, which the Directors believe will over time enable the Company to further diversify its existing portfolio, spread the fixed costs of running the Company across a wider base and increase secondary market liquidity for investors. This follows on from the Company’s £80 million IPO on the Premium Segment of the London Stock Exchange’s Main Market in October 2018.
Singer Capital Markets is acting as Joint Placing Agent to the Company alongside Kepler Partners.
