Singer Capital Markets (Singer’s), one of the UK’s leading investment banks, is pleased to announce that Sara Hale and Graham Hertrich have joined as Head of Investment Banking and Deputy Head of Investment Banking, respectively. Both Sara and Graham bring exceptional talent and experience that will help drive Singer’s strategic objectives of becoming the pre-eminent investment bank in the small and mid-cap market.
Sara is a highly accomplished corporate financier with a distinguished career spanning three decades, during which she has advised a broad spectrum of clients from AIM-listed companies to those in the FTSE 100. She joins from Davy, where she was responsible for its Corporate Broking and Advisory practice in London. Sara has also worked at HSBC James Capel, ABN AMRO Hoare Govett, and Investec, where she served as Co-Head of the Corporate Broking team. Sara is a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds a degree from Durham University.
Graham joins Singer’s to support Sara in leading the Investment Banking department with a focus on driving the firm’s corporate advisory and M&A capability. He is an experienced public company adviser, having spent two decades in UK investment banking with roles at Jefferies Hoare Govett, KPMG, and Davy. He has advised clients across a wide range of sectors and market capitalisations, including many FTSE 350, Small Cap, and AIM constituents. Graham began his career at EY, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, having graduated from the University of Cambridge.
Alongside the appointments of Sara and Graham, Singer’s has also made several internal changes to its Investment Banking division to position the team and the firm for long-term growth. Tom Salvesen moves to become the Head of Corporate Broking to oversee origination, corporate broking, and corporate dealing activities, and James Maxwell moves to become Head of Investment Funds Advisory to manage what has become an increasingly important sector for the firm.
Shaun Dobson will remain Chairman of Corporate Advisory, and Lisa Alarcon will continue as Head of Investor Relations, reporting to the Head of Investment Banking.
Tim Cockroft, Founder and Executive Chairman, Singer Capital Markets, said: “Following a strong financial year for Singer’s, we are pleased to welcome Sara and Graham. Their extensive experience in investment banking and corporate advisory bolsters our strong track record of supporting some of the UK’s most ambitious and innovative growth companies.
“At Singer’s, we are dedicated to continuously identifying and creating new opportunities to enhance our market position. Following a review of our business, we are confident that the changes to our investment banking team will result in a flatter, less hierarchical management structure, that will drive increased client engagement.”
Sara Hale, Head of Investment Banking, Singer Capital Markets, said: “I’m delighted to be joining such a well-respected team at this exciting time for both Singer’s and the wider market. I look forward to working with Tim, Graham, and the rest of the team, and contributing to the firm’s continued growth and success.”
Graham Hertrich, Deputy Head of Investment Banking, said: “Singer’s is a trusted adviser to some of the UK’s most innovative and high-growth firms. I am excited to be joining alongside Sara and working to drive Singer’s strategic objectives as we focus on becoming the leading investment bank in the UK small and mid-cap sector.”
